Etsy Updates

When I started my Etsy shop, I used glass tiles to make my map pendants. I liked them but I wanted something more polished and finished looking. I found these silver tray pendants from Etsy supply shops and I was all set.
For about a year. A few weeks ago I needed to stock up for the Christmas orders so I tried to order some more. Not sure what happened but no one was offering them for sale anymore. I was not happy because all the other supplies I use are geared towards this exact size. Did the factory in China burn down?
Suddenly all they had were these slightly different ones. The hanging hook thingy at the stop was shorter and wider and the edges looked thicker. The back of the pendant was also covered in this star burst design instead of the plain silver that the other one had. I had no other options than to order them. I couldn't be happier I did because I like these so much better. The paper map squares fit much easier inside. The greatest thing is that the resin top that I put on over it fits perfectly. I always had issues with those with the other one. They were either 1 cm too small or 1 cm too big. There was always a lot or prying and pounding to make them right. These are so much simpler and I have placed another bigger order so I can make sure I have enough for a while. Until they pull these from the market too.

I love the new pendants. I think I am in need of a new one...just have to decide which city. I have been wearing my Paris pendant the most lately, probably because I dream of jetting off to Paris to go to that cooking class at Julia Child's old house in the country.
