Thanksgiving Day

Thanksgiving morning I woke up to Declan's Thanksgiving turkey picture. This is my un-white balanced picture of it. Tim was already up cooking with Declan as his helper. One day, I might try to tackle the dinner when Tim gets sick of doing it but for now, I am so glad that he does it. He cooks it and I clean it up. We both know our strengths. I have started a new tradition of going to LL Bean in the morning because its so much easier to shop with Tim's discount then.
I am also thankful that we finally have a dining room table where we can all sit comfortably. I pulled it out and added both leaf's(leaves?). Carly Dog likes to sit under the table and couldn't figure out why it got so big all of a sudden. Of course, the problem is when I pull out the table, it practically touches the four walls of the dining room. One day we will have a bigger dining room too. Baby steps.
We also realized that, last year, we put the wishbone up to dry and we had never had the kids do it. Sort of gross. Declan made his wish and won. I think this years is hanging up again and I hope we remember to do it before next Thanksgiving.
Tim went for a smaller bird this year but it was still plenty big enough. He also makes his grandmothers sausage stuffing which is my favorite.
Declan was ready to eat. They are usually more excited for the thought of the meal and they actually don't eat very much.
Carly also got to eat in the dining room with us. She didn't get any turkey though.
