The kids and I went off to Rangeley this weekend to check in on my parents. Safe to say, my father is still recovering and is completely dependent on my mother. It's scary to think of them alone up there but they have a support system in place and have no interest in leaving. We really have no other options for them so we worry but leave them be until they need help. I'm not sure how this winter will go for them but I know I would rather see them there then have my father back in that nursing home.
Declan wanted to play outside which is normally not easy to do in November up there. Surprisingly there was only a trace amount of snow and the lake wasn't frozen yet. It wasn't exactly swimming weather though.
Declans goal was to throw 100 rocks in the lake because Tim told him he would give him a dollar if he did it. I think the lake is full of enough rocks but Declan doesn't agree.
We lasted less than an hour outside though. The sun sets very early these days. Declan did say he had thrown all 100 but I think he was just saying that to get that dollar.
