Day 30-Something That Makes You Sad

Day 30-Something That Makes You Sad
I am in charge of the newsroom lottery pool. We figure the people who always win are the people who work together and buy tickets as a group. It makes me sad every week that we don't win.

Day 28-1PM

Day 28-1PM
Today at 1PM,  I was finishing a massive refrigerator clean up. Beyond the inside cleaning, it involved actually pulling it away from the wall and vacuuming it and everything. I know it looks very bare now but I purposely held off on a big shop until after I did this. Now, moving on to the self cleaning oven....

Day 27-Somewhere You Went

Day 27-Somewhere You Went
Quick lunchtime trip to Caravan Beads. No time for a proper look at the beads though.

Day 26-Black And White

Day 26-Black And White
Home sick today watching old movies on TCM. This is how I want to spend every day minus the sick part.  I like this movie but I prefer its 1960's remake starring Cary Grant but that one is in color.

Day 25-Looking Down

Day 25-Looking Down
I've finished one book this week and I'm working on another. I continually have several books going but its hard to finish them. A lot of skimming goes on. I used to read a book a day in my previous life.

Day 24-Something You're Grateful For

Day 24-Something You're Grateful For
I'm grateful that Carly is not as bad a dog as she could be. One viewing of Marley & Me shows me that our free dog turned out pretty well.

Day 23-Vegetable

Day 23-Vegetable
Thank God for frozen vegetables. I know I'm only supposed to serve organic vegetables that I raised myself but lets be real.

Day 22-The Last Thing You Bought

Day 22-The Last Thing You Bought
The last thing I bought was a bath for Carly the dog. We have to take her to the self serve dog bath because she need to be hooked to the wall so she stays put. It costs $14 but its totally worth it. They provide the special shampoos, eye and ear cleaner wipes, scrubby brush to take off the loose hair and a hair dryer. We use all of it especially the deodorant spray you can use after they are dried off. Right now she smells like vanilla and almonds which is a big improvement because she smelled like a corpse before we went.

Day 21-Bottle

Day 21-Bottle
Some people are addicted to heroin or crack. I'm addicted to Cherry Dr. Pepper. I think it does the same amount of damage to your body as drugs though.

Day 20-Something You Drew

Day 20-Something You Drew
Every day I draw a diagram when I get to work. If you can read my notebook scribblings at the top left, one side has the initials of reporters working that day and the other side has the initials of the photographers working. I then connect who is working together and who is left for extra. The rest of the notebook only makes sense to me. The notes are about a pharmacy robbery, a train accident and a brush fire. This page basically sums up my job.

Day 19-Orange

Day 19-Orange
Owen has spent the last 15 years convincing me that orange, long haired cats are the best cats.

Day 18-Hair

Day 18-Hair
It happens to the best of us.

Day 17-Something You Don't Like

Day 17-Something You Don't Like
I don't like my basement stairs. Its not like a coat of paint can help either. We need a plasterer to fix the cracked and broken walls and a carpenter to build new stairs that don't always seem like they could collapse. Unfortunately, on the list of things this house needs done to it, the basement stairs are somewhere near the bottom. You should see the basement-even scarier.

Day 16-Flower

Day 16-Flower
More fun with spray paint. Turned an old silver bucket I wasn't really using into a blue flower container. 3 pots of purple pansy's later and I had a small amount of curb appeal.

Day 15-Sunset

Day 15-Sunset
I don't get a good view of the sunset. I would if I lived on a lake like my parents but I don't. So here is a picture of the sun heading down but not set.

Day 14-How You Feel Today

Day 14-How You Feel Today
Today I feel tired and achy. I spent most of the day cleaning up the yard and hauling huge bags of mulch home from Home Depot. I'm too old for this. At least I came to peace with the fact that its okay to cut the flowers and enjoy them inside instead of just noticing them out the window and then not noticing them again until they've died.

Day 13-Something You Found

Day 13-Something You Found
Tonight I came home and found a very, very bad girl who made a little boy cry. Hopefully tomorrow will be better because she knows she is in trouble.

Day 12-Stairs

Day 12-Stairs
Our stairs have turned into Owens feeding station. It's the only place he can eat without feeling threatened by the big bad dog.

Day 11-Where You Ate Breakfast

Day 11-Where You Ate Breakfast
This looks eerily like my picture of where I eat lunch.

Day 10-Cold

Day 10-Cold
It's that strange time of year when the summer coats are being used but we don't dare pack away the winter coats yet.

Day 9-Younger You

Day 9-Younger You
My daughter Grace. She's a younger me...minus the glasses.

Day 8-Inside Your Wallet

Day 8-Inside Your Wallet
I'm not interested in having my identity stolen so I didn't want to take a picture of the actual inside my wallet. I decided to show why the inside of my wallet is empty. Easter isn't cheap.

Day 7-Shadows

Day 7-Shadows
Hard to find shadows on a cloudy day. I'm counting the shadows of the flowers inside the vase.

Day 6-Lunch

Day 6-Lunch
I always make sure I leave the building at lunch but I don't usually waste that time eating. It's the only time I can run errands alone. Lunch is eaten at my desk afterwards and it usually features things from the vending machine.

Day 5-Tiny

Day 5-Tiny
My teeny tiny vases. They are so cute and I want 20 more. Good thing I know who makes them.

Day 4-Someone Who Makes You Happy

Day 4-Someone Who Makes You Happy
I know I'm expected to put a picture of my kids or husband but it's obvious they make me happy or I would have run away long ago. I thought about who makes me automatically smile without even doing anything and that's Craig Ferguson.

Day 3-Mail

Day 3-Mail
This showed up in the mail. It was not a surprise. I did order an exercise bike after all. Now I just need to find the energy to assemble it.

Day 2-Colour

Does a picture of a picture count? Taken in really bad light? I have to remember to take pictures during the day when the sun might be out.

Day 1 (Sort Of)

Source:http://www.fatmumslim.com.au/
I've been trying to push myself to post more on here so this challenge seems to be just the thing. I'm
actually a day late but I meant to do it yesterday so I figure that still counts. So here goes and we will see if I remember to do it everyday.

Now, anyone who knows me, knows this first one is a hard one for me. This was the best I could do using my antique mirror with the crazy glass.
